Our Story

Founded in 1978, Phase Five has proudly served the Yate community for over 40 years. Created by a group of dedicated local parents and educators, we were built on the belief that every child deserves access to high-quality, affordable early years care.

Still run by a local committee and operating as a registered charity, we continue to uphold these founding values today.

With two well-established locations in Kelston Close and Chargrove, Phase Five remains rooted in the community, delivering trusted, supportive care to generations of local families.

Our team of skilled staff, with qualifications, Early Years Apprentice to Level 3 Practitioners, offer rich experience and proficiency to ensure every child’s unique needs are fulfilled. Meet the Management Team

Our passionate team members are all qualified early years educators who bring warmth, knowledge, and dedication to the classroom. We build close relationships with families, working together to help every child feel confident, curious, and cared for.

Amy – Chair Person

Leads the committee. Self-employed cleaner with past experience as an early years educator and room leader.

Kate – Manager / DSL / SENCo

Level 3 in Childcare and Leadership. 17+ years experience. Splits time between both settings. Designated Safeguarding Lead and SENCo.

Tasha – Deputy (Acorns Setting)

Level 3 in Childcare. Manages daily operations at Chargrove and supports SEN children alongside Kate.

Katherine – Deputy (Oaktrees Setting)

Level 3 in Early Years. Deputy Safeguarding Lead at Kelston Close. Supports Kate in implementing safeguarding policies.
